How can I get hold of this information?

Next - Prism Database (Landdata) or Home Price Guide.

Interesting question, in regards to recent sales data. I know that by the time the sales data gets to places like RP and Residex, it's already 3mths old. Is there a way for the average investor to find out very recent sales, besides paying for the Home Price Guide?

Haven't bought a home price guide, but I would expect it's got the same (3 month old) info in it that rpdata have, since they both come from the VG.

the date of settlement, not the date of contract, may mean the information is delayed for some properties. Sale is not finalised until settlement.

Melbourne Metro Auction Results can be found in Mondays Sun Newspaper and I think the Age as well. Private sales usually not listed.
