How much do the very basic floorplans cost ?

You know the ones that simply show room names and perhaps a few meassurements here and there. From my development I have sets of involved town plans and will soon get electricals but no simple ones. Someone told me they're expensive so I should white out the lights etc from the electrical plans.

To my simple thinking wouldn't the draftsperson or whoever prepares the electricals etc, start with the base plan first then overlay electricals ?
Wouldn't just making a copy of the base plan be oh so simple ?

What's my best bet for getting such simle style plans ?

Hiya Patosan...

Last set of plans we had done were $800 for full set of plans to take to council. (Then about $400 for footings plans from the soil test company).

Electrical overlays? hehe... That would be me, on a photocopy with a fluoro texta! lol

The other option is to scan the ones you have and erase the superfluous bits (although this never comes out 'right'...)

Hope this helps.
