Can someone recommend to me an economical solicitor/conveyancer in Melb?

How much do you guys pay usually?

I need one to purchase just a lot of land.

I just got a quote, the conveyancer said $800 (including all other costs - eg title search cost, settlement fees(?), etc). No extras charges.

Is that fair?

Another solicitor quoted me $500, but i dont think his includes all those other charges.

Usually how much do those charges add up to?

I am purchasing just a land

The solicitor I use in Melbourne is both economical and does a great job . . . takes care of everything!

E-mail or message me for details.

Hi rodimus

try Francis & Torrens in Ringwood.

www.francistorrens.com.au

or look them up in the white pages.

I have used their services since 1989 and have always been in safe hands.

Their advertisement in the local papers says $280 (I think - it might be $265) and with search fees this usually ends up around $560.

If you prefer a solicitor I have a couple of contacts. Solicitors usually charge higher not least because of their insurance premiums!

Good luck

hi Rodimus and people,

I found a conveyancer who charges $198 (his fee) plus maximum of $200 (search fees etc). He said the most I will pay is $398.

Is that a good price? Is $200 for the other costs such as search fees etc reasonable?
