Stickcricket (http://www.stickcricket.com/)
I managed to cart Dennis Lillee for a couple of sixes. :D
But then he hit me in the head with a bouncer and I fell on my stumps. :o

Nice one Pitt
That must be Denis' speciality..he sconed me too :o
What do you think about the Muralidaran decision?
I think it's a disgrace. And to claim that bowlers like DK Lillee chucked
If he has a deformity, that's bad luck for him, we don't change rules to suit individuals.

GarryK,
Having a little background of cricket on the sub continent : ), the most dissapointing thing is that all the kids there have "sus" actions. Not just a handful, they all want to be Murali. Now that this is going to be OK, the epidemic is only going to get worse.
It is such a fine line though. Brett Lee IMHO looks sus but his arm comes through that quick that it is nearly impossible to pick up let alone control. Same may be why they are saying it about DK. I think if spinners are doing it then it is a whole different kettle of fish.
Will be interesting to see what happens though........
As for stick cricket, I shouldn't have clicked on this post!!!!!! ; )

Hi Dos
That's interesting and not good news for anyone.
I agree, totalling different situation for spin v fast bowlers.
There's a retired Indian spin bowler who took one of the melbourne cricket commentators down to the nets to show him what could be done if he copied what Murali was doing.
The commentator said he turned it sideways. You could hear the ball "fizz" through the air, and would be unplayable.

My plan for a Stickcricket induced Australian recession is well under way.
As you all stop doing what you are meant to be doing and playing Stickcricket instead > GDP will plummet > massive job losses will result > the economy will grind to a stand still > the Federal Budget will swing into massive deficit > inflation will skyrocket > interest rates will rise rapidly and then fall after you all default on your loans > then I, Lex Luther, the greatest fictional criminal mind in history, will buy Australia. Hehehehehehehehe

I think Dos made some very good points about the esteem in which Muralitheran is held on the sub-continent - and how he really is just the tip of the iceberg.
I agree, it is a disgrace. He is a bloody chucker. Thankfully certain Australian umpires have had the balls to call him one too, because very few others have.
100+ years of rules should not be changed to suit one player.
The career of Ian Meckiff (http://www.cricinfo.com/db/PLAYERS/AUS/M/MECKIFF_I_02001059/) was effectively ended when the umpire, Colin Egar, called him for throwing 4 times in his only over in a test match at the Gabba in 1963.
Yet this cheating <expletive deleted> from Sri Lanka has over 500 test wickets.

GarryK, Pitt,
Very very hard to play, particularly the doosra that a. you can't see and b. does everything!!
In regards to turning the ball whilst trying to bowl like it, not very hard to do at all! You could probably even give it a go. It is one of things that when training, a lot of the blokes give you a few in this nature. Maybe we should all start bowling like it. Test wickets galore!!!!
There is some hype about some "Halo 2" game or something on playstation, it won't have anything on Stickcricket!! You won't beleive this but it is now up on our intranet at work and the competition for highest score has started!!!!!
(At the moment 93)

Curses!!!!!!
Not so fast Luther. Your plan will not succeed.
We will counter your plan with the "Boycott"..a dastardly weapon designed to bore your enthusiasts and send them to sleep. One dose of the "Boycott" and they will never play your StickCricket again.
To the batmobile Robin. :p

The original one is a bit easier to get high scores against - only problem is that you have to play England.

The new one is pretty much a vastly improved version of that :)
