Hi All,
Just wondering how often people think about investing? Be it, IP's, Shares.....etc
On average, I would be a once a day person and it drives me crazy sometimes but at the same time, i love it :D

I voted every hour of everyday. Not *entirely* accurate - sometimes I think about women, hahahhahaa but it's a hell of a lot more than once a day. I'm a firm believer that if I want to create financial freedom by December 31 2010, which is the stepping stone to my creating wealth, then I must absolutely concentrate on this goal and it's attainment. Constant evaluation means I am always finding new opportunities and ways to invest as well as building a vast library of knowledge upstairs in me noggin.

I hope that doesn't mean you dream about investing :)

I voted at least once a day coz that can be anything from once to yeah, a big number... :)
I am still in my Padowan days and thinking about all the ways I can make the $$$'s so I can finally fill in those lovely 'I resign' papers.
I am certainly under the impression that with all things in life, that if it is a serious passion to find financial freedom through Property then one must give it the required time of day. Mind you the occassional long weekend never goes astray... ;)
Cheers.

Padowan, I was just thinking about that myself as in: taking some time out. I sometimes find myself feeling a little guilty if I just sit down in front of the idiot box and take some time out for myself. I know this is a good thing - I don't want to burn myself out, so how do others justify to themselves just relaxing and chilling out occasionally?

I think I am like you Mark..
I am happy when I am busy and am making progress in things. So unfortunately, sitting down and doing nothing just brings with it anxiety and un-easiness.
I am always thinking about all the things I could be doing when I just do nothing. Yeah, I know, pretty screwed up... Mind you, if I were an employer I would wish my employees were like that... (Hang on, that would be more me's!! NO!!) :p
For me, I think I could justify a little 'timeout' if it were following quite an achievement. eg. As soon as this IP is settled I will take the wife and go to the hills for the weekend.
That way, the relaxing is in my mind seen as a reward for the thing I do best... 'not relax'.. hehe ;)

Everytime I get into my "uni" car that is on it's last legs, I can't help but think about how great it will be when I can replace it with some hot car down the track with $$$.
Investing is what I do now rather than buy a new car at this stage and everytime I drive it I am reminded of why I am making this sacrifice now for the future.
Best Wishes

(sigh)
Is there anything else to think about?
But how sad is this - I don't just think about my investing, I think about everybody else's investing, too!
I have been known to send people emails at 2 in the morning saying 'By the way, if perhaps you would care to consider structuring the deal like this, it may leave a few more doors open for later opportunities'....
And unfortunately, the affliction is not just a recent malady, people and property and investing have occupied my thoughts fairly constantly since about 1975, and there's always something new to think about, you can never reach the end with this particular subject!

I think about investing throughout the day.
I even have dreams about houses but they are always haunted. Can anybody tell me why I have dreams about haunted houses...I am serious btw.

Hmmm...think you crawled inside my head on this one Corsa. I think with me it's more like "everytime I fix it" though....I'm just worried that by the time I can afford the "dream car" I'll be too much of a tight wad to part with the dosh....
I had to put myself in the "every hour" catagory (unfort).... can't say it's every hour, but it's certainly more than once a day.
Any head shrinks in the formite community..... when does a fanatical interest turn into a conpulsive dissorder? :D

I'm a shocker - despite my knowing better, I still check out the share prices at least daily. Pointless I know, but it gives me a warm glow in my back pocket...

Think? I know I'm obsessed
I think I'm in the obsessed category also...
Helped by the fact I'm still doing a lot of reading on property investing now, (I'm on my ninth book and still learning much). :p
Now all I need is to start getting my first deposit together for my first IP...

I'm sure there was something I was supposed to do around 3 o'clock this afternoon..... ;)
I voted at least once a day......
But its really much much more than once a day.
Perhaps we need to start a investorholics anonymous organisation. :D

So I'm obsessed. So I rarely stop thinking about it. It's a hobby, and it's better than philandering (or is that philately - I can never remember). :D

IMO
Because even though you think you want to buy investment properties it scares you deep down inside. When awake you are able to rationally deal with it but when asleep your inner demons show it for what it is, fear of the unknown.

It is overtaking my life, so I have voted for every hour of the day.
I visit and re-visit this forum about 8x a day.
Nuff said?

I voted thinking about investments and IP at least once a day. It is probably x5 per day with the number of issues that need to be tended to everyday. It seems I am with my kind of people in the forum. Most voted like me. Phew!
My close friend used to remind me that whenever we meet, we would invariably talk about finances, etc. Not anymore other than in this forum! :D They will have to corner me, invite me and show real enthusiasm before I will divulge anything from my mental corner.

I think about financial freedom just about every waking hour, unless I'm preoccupied in sport or music or something fairly intensive. It's all-encompassing, it's at the forefront of my mind. It excites me, it pushes me.

I agree with Glebe I think about investing, cashflow, financial freedom, a lot of the time. But not when doing physical stuff. Just got back from Taekwondo and didn't think about investing for at least 2 hours.
Sitting on the train this morning thought about investing for the whole hour.
So it's not every hour but it's a hell of a lot of the time.
Cheers
