How verify security released by bank ?

As part of a loan application , I asked for a security to be removed from my xcoll
loans ( ie the bank released the security )

How do I actually verify this has happened? Get a copy of the title from the titles office?

Get it in writing from the bank.

Ask for the mortgage discharge to be sent to you.

You then lodge it with the new lender, or if you want a free title, with the lands dept to clear the mortgage.
