Which suburb in MacKay?

A friend and his family will be moving to MacKay. He has accepted a job in Mackay TN College, North Mackay. So he'll be looking for a 4 bedroom house (nothing fancy) cost ranging from $280k to $350k... any recommendations?

A friend and his family will be moving to MacKay. He has accepted a job in Mackay TN College, North Mackay. So he'll be looking for a 4 bedroom house (nothing fancy) cost ranging from $280k to $350k... any recommendations?

Andergrove may suit him as seems to be family area bunnings, harvey norman close & not far from golf course & not far from nth mackay & beach not far away.
I would stay away from the west but thats just because I didnt like it but doesnt seem to have affected the prices in that area but prices are all over the shop in Mackay.
Place is moving because miners and support staff are moving in working 4 days on & 4 days off so they come back to Mackay on their days off.
Rentals move quickly apparantly.
Nicest places that I saw were, in my opinion, Slades Point, Blacks Beach, Eimeo areas.
