Can I suggest that when we click on "Post new thread" that in the window which opens for us to create the new post, we have in LARGE letters, "Have you searched for this topic?"................ please click here to search.
None of us like to see a question from a newby ignored, but I think it fair that they should be reminded that the search function is available.
Any thoughts?

Sometimes it can be frustrating when one has some experience under ones belt. Im sure you were a newbie once as we all were and asked questions already asked. Whats the difference? :o

Hi Rixter,
If a subject has been discussed often, then a lot of people will either not answer or give abbreviated answers, whereas, if a search is done there may have been 50 posts on the original thread with a large number of different opinions.
The quality of information provided is almost always more thorough in the first airing than in subsequent airings. If the person is a newbie, then, is it not better to read as many opinions on a subject as possible?
Yes, Rixter, we are all newbies originally, and by using the search function I found heaps of info that was not shown in later threads :)
An example might be Michael Croft, who hasn't posted for ages (I don't think) but some of his old stuff is excellent, there really are some gems buried in the old stuff !!

my 2yr old is a newbie to the world and i admit i am getting weary of answering the same question 4 different ways before she "gets it" as her life experience to draw on is limited.
maybe this is also what newbie's to property investing need - to be told again and again in difference way until they understand. there are also those of us who have joined since certain discussions took place and may either have something to contribute or something to be gleaned and we like our info to be up to the second current :D .
