does anyone have one? We have been using personal credit cards for trust expenses that can only be paid by credit card. There seems to be an awful lot of these and it is a bit of a pain when it comes to the accounting.

I asked at the ANZ re getting a credit card for the trust and the lady said that they are very hard to get until you are established and are earning decent profit - which we are not doing yet.

Has anyone had experience either easy or difficult with getting a credit card for a trust?

Is signing as a personal guarrantor an option?

We were looking at a debit card but ANZ does not appear to have one and we don't want to go and switch our transaction account since we are all in the swing of using the ANZ account now.

thanks greatly for your input

I don't know about the card for the HDT. However could you get a second card on the accout and use this one ONLY for IP expenses. Ask the bank (or pay for) a second statement for accounting purposes.

My card and additional card are listed separately on the one statement - though of course you then have to apportion the interest. The interest does not bother me as I zero the balance every month - hence no interest.

Mine is with ANZ and I also found it hard.

To be honest though, I haven't had a problem. I've been able to pay all expenses via bpay and cheque with no dramas.
