Neutrally geared property.

Hi all.
I currentlly earn over $90,000 while my partner earns just over $30,000. Our first IP is neg geared and in my name only. I was planning to put IP number two in my name also but as it will be neutrally geared and most likely positvely gear in the years to come. Should i be putting it in both our names. What do you guys do for neutrall/Positve geared properties when the income split is big like ours.

I would put purchases in the name of the person with the highest taxable income until that persons taxable income was lower than 2nd income earner.

Once this is achieved and if both income earners intend to remain in the work force I would put each subsequent purchase in alternate names.
