G'day
I watch them all on an adhoc basis, mainly for a laugh. Although I did like the one on famous peoples houses, I think it was a location location one. It was good for dreaming of the future when it all won't be that important anymore.
What I want to know is, how do they get those numbers, they seem to be very accurate ie. always down to 1's and 2's ??

im interested to know, out of the 1.7m that watch both location location and hot property I wonder how many viewers have thought...
"gee, property seems to be a great investment maybe i will do something about that."
or more than likely they just stay on their couch and wait for the next program...

Isn't the number something like 1% of the population are direct property investors and 90% only have 1 ip?
Can the market sustain any more investors than 1%? There has to be enough savers to provide the cash for investors to buy properties to house the spenders who get there cash from the savers. ;)
2 ip bundy :D

It's a known fact that during the gold rush the most profitable ventures were those selling digging equipment. I'd like to buy a share in these property TV shows. There must be a way.
Say cheese :p

My 4 year old son loves Backyard Blitz and Groundforce! Without a doubt they are his favourite shows. The interesting part comes the next day when he tries to replicate the water features in our backyard. Still at least he is outside having fun!

My kids are addicted to the real estate magazines with heaps of listings, if they're both in the car I have to get 2 copies, otherwise they fight over 1 copy.
My little one has also started to recognise For Sale signs and sold stickers, the pair of them sit in the back shouting out Sold! and giggling.

I love watching some of these shows- mainly for the renovating ideas and makeovers- some terrific ideas! The Backyard Blitz team gets my vote, mainly because I occasionally get to see the luscious Jamie with his shirt off!!!
My children don't enjoy looking at properties at all with Mum and Dad- they groan profusely when they realise we are all going to "look at houses" and so they have to be usually bought off with some reward at the end to keep them satisfied :)
Having said that, however, I have instilled good money management skills in them already, as they faithfully bank half of their money (cash from birthdays and jobs around the house) and look forward to the day when they can withdraw some of it for their first (very second hand) car, paying cash when most of their peers will be borrowing or smooching off Mum and Dad.
My youngest (4yrs old) is a bit of a hoot though. When it's just her and me looking, she very helpfully points out things that I may not notice (or choose to ignore!). She once told an agent that the house was "very stinky" and she was right :)
My favourite is "Auction Squad" followed by "Backyard Blitz followed by Ground Force followed by Hot Property....
