Town demographics

Anyone know a website where you can look up size of population and industries in towns etc other than trawling council web sites which are patchy at best.

ABS has got those stats, but you can only find them through population areas, which don't necessarily correspond with towns.

For QLD info, I've found the State Development homepage very good.

Hi Donna,

Try www.homepriceguide.com.au, and enter the Postcode of the area you are interested in in the Demographics box. This will provide you with population, industry, employment status, education level, average mortgage repayments etc. of residents within that postcode.
