Would like to know if it is possible to get trade prices without having an established business. Could you get trade prices if you just had a business name?

It depends on where you go. Bunnings has put in a requirment for an ACN and a minumin purchase of $500 each month. Given they only 5% on a few areas, I've moved myself elsewhere.

Although I am not a license builder, yet as far as I know, if you want to have a huge discount on raw materials, white goods, etc, you require to have a builder license to get the insider price, which is around 15-45% off the recommended retails price. Trade price varies from different professions. Eg. Architect has a greater discount than owner builder, but not as much as a license builder.

You can try to call up the local builder & negotiate with them
