Melbourne vs Brisbane

hi guys,

taken 3 months of being on this group but now looking beyond sydney also :)

as far as brisbane city vs melbourne city goes, what do you guys think? which is the better option for positive and negatively geared properties.

if you can recommend any suburbs i would appreciate it as it will give me a starting point to research. indicative pricing would also help :)

In my completely unreserched and 'gut feel' opinion Melbourne may have had its run, where as Brisbane may still have some good growth to come in the short-medium term.

Thats not to say there arent opportunities to be had in Melbourne but these maybe more plentiful in Brisbane.

Hopefully someone who has researched these two markets will jump in with more specific info.
