Hi All
Just wondering, is it normal to have to wait 4-6 weeks for QS report?
I have been told this by Deppro in Perth. Have asked them to do my 1st IP and will wait and see report before I ask them to do 2nd IP.

Hi June,
I was happy with the end product but it was slow coming. We had Deppro in Brisbane. I wasn't happy that they did not acknowledge receipt of my application form in any way but proceeded to charge my credit card some 3 or more weeks before the job was done. I rang them to ask why I hadn't heard from them, why I had been charged for a service I hadn't yet received nor had any correspondence regarding when that service would be received. Yes, it did take about 4 weeks from start to finish but I would use them again.

I agree with everything you said, anyone from Deppro take note, some form of acknowledgment should be given especially as money is taken from credit card almost immediately job is ordered.
I also rang office and was told money would be taken once visit was made to IP, only thing is nobody tells you they have even gone to your IP.
Thanks again Jodie for reply.
Regards
June;)

Hi guys
A few weeks ago now I faxed off an appication form to Deppro Sydney.
Same problem...money came off my CC account...yet no contact from them (let alone the report I paid for)
I raised this with them, but found no joy
I don't know many businesses who operate this way.It would be much fairer to take a deposit, then accept the balance when they give you the report.
I will wait till i get the report from them before I pass judgement.
Fingers crossed!
Cheers

I have had a QS report (not from Deppro) which was unsatisfactory- they had forgotten to include of number of big ticket new items- which they even acknowledged were written in their notes. Ar least, my not paying in advance, I could withhold payment until the revised report was received.

I printed off these comments and faxed them to Deppro with covering letter. Will advise you of any feedback!

Hi June,
I too have a few Ip's in Perth with QS's reports done through DEPpro. The reason it take a while is because the property is inspected the all the info is sent to Brisbane for the schedule to be processed. It is then sent from Brisbane office.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies everybody.
Nuffy thats great sending these comments to Deppro, maybe they will do something better in the way of service. I know the guys are busy but they still have clerks, secretaries etc that they could get to at least phone people or whatever.
Thanks again.

Honestly, I do not care how long it takes to prepare the report. As soon as it has good depreciation figures and comes at least a month before the tax return is due.
Cheers,
