I've heard facts and rumours about starting up a business for property investment.

However, I'm not sure whether the costs associated with it are worth it.

I'll be checking the yearly costs to "run" a business, but my concern is whether its worth starting up a business just to run your first investment property.

In your opinion, do you think the benefits from running business on paper can make up for the costs of actually starting and running a business?

I believe it would be far more worth while to start up a trust for property investment than a company.

Have a search through the forum for "family trusts" and or "hybrid trusts". Also have a look at Dale's "Trust Magic" http://www.gatherumgoss.com/shopping.htm - a very worth while $99.
