Overseas when settling

Hi, I'm looking for a new IP.

Problem is I leave for overseas in 4 weeks and will be away for 5 weeks.

Should I just wait until I get back?

What are the implications if I buy in the next 3 weeks?

I can't write checks or leave blank cheques as they usually want bank cheques for most.

Any ideas? Or is it too difficult to contemplate?

I haven't got something in mind. Just if I see something.

Thanks

Although its easily done using a power of attorney, I wouldn't recommend it... remember murphy's law, contracts don't always go to plan and inevitably a decision or two has to be made on your behalf by your p.o.a - unless you are contactable, they have to use their mind reading skills ;)

Just my 2c worth as a buyers agent.

Many ex-pats buy from o/seas and may in some (not every) cases even buy sight unseen.

Doing the settlement from o/seas is really not that difficult - all sorts of mechanisms exist to facilitate it.
