The start of removing the old fire door frame. The problem with this frame is that it has been built hard up against the wall. This can be seen on the right side. Inside its worse as there is render on top of the brick wall giving very little room for hand/arm access to open the door. This is made even worse by having a standard handset rather than the fire rated offset.
