Natimuk

The building is a simple form of courthouse built in 1889/90. The external front of the building is embellished with stepped brickwork in the principal gable and by verandah with elaborate frieze and ornate gabled end pavilions. The outstanding internal features are the high arched wood panelled ceiling and the original court furniture which has been retained as part of the Museum exhibition.
Used as a Hospital for short while post WW1, then as a Courthouse until 1960's.
Lovely description of the building

We have an amazing heritage 'out in the bush'.

Easy for city slickers to forget that gold, sheep and wheat have provided enormous prosperity to the Lucky Country and the silent sentinels standing testament to our past are beautiful in their simplicity of style and the importance they would have had to their communities.
