    Destroying an investment plan 101

Hey guys, I've had a pretty comical week, which I thought I'd share. I've spent the last three months evaluating some options for my next investment after spending the previous 6-9 months in another world due to a friend with cancer. Anyways, so I've been saving madly, keeping an eye on...

Block shapes impact on redevelopment value?

Hey all, So it's been a while, but after two dislocated knee caps, a broken elbow, my best mate fighting off cancer and my mum being diagnosed with bipolar I'm ready to return my focus to investing. A lot can happen in 18 months! I'd like to know people's thoughts on the following: I'm...

    Strata-working on cars?

My project car. Just sanding/spraying etc. No panel beating/cutting etc. Reasonable hours would be same as construction hours I imagine. Don't know the strata rules, will ask strata management on Tuesday if I don't find a firm answer beforehand. Cheers Greg

    Strata-working on cars?

Quick question, are there any laws preventing someone from working on a vehicle in the confines of their garage in a strata building, providing it's within reasonable hours? Cheers Greg

    Westpac's Double Standards

Its all okay. I'm sure you will be pleased to know I walked by Westpac yesterday and someone was handing out free chocolate - that must be the increased funding costs. They are trying to lure new clients into their cottage using treats. So fitting.

CBA demanding valuation, when it's already been done?

Helps business ey? :D I don't have any problem with that to be honest. But if its valid for three months it should be valid for three months, not two and two weeks. This is only a top up and should (in theory) be completed this week, so its not going to spill over the three month mark...

CBA demanding valuation, when it's already been done?

Okay so by the sounds they are right in that a new valuation is required as its been (almost) three months, but still full of **** in saying it's because the last one was a desk job. I can live with that.

CBA demanding valuation, when it's already been done?

Don't worry, not being harsh on the broker over this. Kinda feel for him actually - given we'd already had a falling out over their service, he must have been terrified of delivering this news :)

CBA demanding valuation, when it's already been done?

Really should have paid more attention on that front. I remember the valuer's name but not the company, I know the date as well. All a bit odd. If they're saying it was a desk evaluation then surely they know who did that desk valuation and should be able to contact this person to ask if a...

CBA demanding valuation, when it's already been done?

Hey guys Not sure if anyone else has had a similar experience, but Commonwealth is requesting a valuation of my property for the approval of a loan I've already been approved for once. In short, they did a valuation three months ago when I started seriously looking for my second property and...

How do I take the handle off a garden tap?

I'd go with this. Too easy for them to get a key for vandal proof tap. Well, actually, I'd buy three metres of chain and a padlock - wrap it every which way around he tap so it looks more like a garden sculpture than a tap, just so the message is clear. Yes, I know I'm an **** :)

    May I suggest the ASX?

Agents use property blogs to sell Real Estate

No doubt one SEO technique you would recommend is 'promoting' that website on the forums of popular websites, not unlike this one, because of the favourable treatment given as a result of inbound links from well-ranked websites? Why, it's, it's brilliant. Somewhat disappointed this thread...

Advertising in r/e - consider this.

I think there's some funny irony in it. Someone. Who is cutting corners to make the most out of his transaction ends up with a selling agent who is not only incompetent but was selected on those grounds. Gee, can't see how you'd lose more than you save there! Cheers Greg
