OK thats odd? The streets in mildura increase in their numbering as they travel south-west, yet Merbein is west of Mildura and have lower numbers?

I was looking to get a property a little while back in Mildura, from memory it was on the east side around Leonard St? (had a little park near it).... is the east side pretty dodgy?

One of those 'odd' questions, but does anyone know why the 'numbered' streets start at "sixth" street?

Thanks guys for your feedback. Indeed strata titling them down the track is a possibility as a potential for extra cash upon sale, or to stagger sales as such. I guess if this were to occur you could then create an extra bank account in such a situation, but keep as one until then? I do see...
