I would say alot of the people buying in the $1mil mark already own property in sydney and are just riding the wave. The same ones that bought over 10 years ago where they could afford and are now "upgrading".
What about if its a PPOR? Do you think people should hold off?
Im kind of in that boat atm. not sure if should jump into a PPOR now or buy a few more IPs

i do think this time round there are record number of people waiting on the side lines for the market to cool so they can jump in. those people alone will help soften the drop, if any
I think overall buying established will always perform better. buying established will get you something bigger, smaller number of units at a lower price.
