ah so that's what townplanners do? I'll have to do the first one with a townplanner then. Hi RPI, I know you mentioned 20m frontage, but am going to look at this one today. http://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-qld-salisbury-116088335

    Subdividing in Brisbane - Newbie

Hi guys Fair enough, doesn't sound like i'll get much luck here ;) oh well worth a shot! I wasn't really looking for a "where to buy", more so some basics. I'll give some people a call and see if I can work my way around it. I'm seeing places come up for sale as a consequence of a subdivision...

    Subdividing in Brisbane - Newbie

Hi All, I was hoping to get some advice as to how to go about subdividing in Brisbane. I'm a first timer and wanted to give it a go as I'm also looking for a place to live. So essentially what I'm hoping for is to find a house with land big enough to subdivide without knocking down the...

    Market outlook in Canberra

I think recruitment can still happen, but only within the APS. So recruitment for staff that are not currently in the APS will not occur

    To Sell, or Rent out.

Building in brisbane is incredibly expensive as well! I had a look at this option and it was costing approximately $50K more than in melbourne to build a similar double story house!

    To Sell, or Rent out.

sorry to hi jack this thread but i'm in an incredible similar situation about $75-100 a week contribution to hold and moving to brisbane from melbourne. I too was surprised how damn expensive brisbane is. I live on a busy road though(about 40 metres from the road with no houses inbetween)...

    PPOR to IP

Hi All, Living in my current PPOR for 3 years now, didn't plan on moving but looks like we will be in the near future. The place has both the wife and my name on it. The catch is she received money from her parents which she is currently paying back and I borrowed about 200K P+I. The place...

    is double brick more desirable?

Having lived in WA and now living in the East.. I hate not having double brick. Main reason is noise. I could hear my room mates snoring vibrating through the walls, which you would not hear with double brick. Likewise you can hear the low rumblings of subwoofers. In my new house if I'm...

    Stockland's Allura Estate, Truganina

I live in the area and I think the developers have screwed up. The block sizes are way too small now. Once all built up all the houses will be squished together and look horrible. ie It will look cheap

Owners find homes are cracking under pressure

My home had a massive crack in the join between the tiles and skirting after about 6 months(built last year). Could almost fit a finger in the gap. Houses built in Melbourne are ***** to put it simply. Can't comment on the other ones in the eastern states. Perth is not bad, at least it's...
