Mo, just my 2 cents worth. Don't pay the PPOR down. Plans always change. Save this money in an offset account against that loan. If you get to a stage in the future where you can pay the loan of in full do that. If you decide to buy another house in the future as a PPOR, then you can easily...

Well BHP are hardly going to go broke but they have dropped substantially along with everything else ( I jumped out @ $45 ), also they are linked to metal & oil prices and tend to fluctuate a fair bit. I wouldn't know what to buy right now.......my last purchase WES took a 12% hit today but...

Thanks TC, :) yes I confess I love this area very much and the small contribution I make to it's remaining rainforest gives me great pleasure and satisfaction. I don't enjoy applying chemicals particularly but realise it is the only option at this point in time. I'm sure you wouldn't apply them...
