    VW amarok or grand cherokee

Oh and if you want something for a daily driver a Prado would be a better choice. Same engine as a Hilux but much better ride etc.

    VW amarok or grand cherokee

We have Hiluxs and V8 Landcruisers at work and just due to the shear cost of repairs to the cruisers I would be hesitant to own one now days. Stick with a secondhand turbo six cylinder for repairs in the bush. We have done 3 engines in the Landcruisers due to dust getting past the filters...

    Your Scariest Moment/s

I think redwing and I must have had a similar past. 1/ Going swimming at night with a group of drunk friends under a bridge in NQ. We are all sitting on a concrete pylon when someone notices a couple of yellow lights glowing in the water. Most of us thought they are reflections from the...

    Coffee Machines

I have a Rancilo Silvia at home as well and taught myself how to make espresso on the net. Do a pretty good job if I do say so myself, the secret is freshly roasted quality beans. Unfortunately I work away from home for two weeks at a time and we only have Blend 43 so I bought a Delonghi U...

    Travel Tour Companies

+1 for Trafalgar. We did a Central Europe tour for 10 days and had a good time, alot of the food is actually pretty damn good. Tour leader was a South African guy who was excellent. Good group dynamic as Nemo said, mix of younger and older. Alot of the better stuff is optional so to...

kallangur Heating up in SE Qld

Funny reading this thread as I was born in Strathpine and while I don't remember it as we moved away when I was around three I moved back to "Brisbane" around 8 years ago and ended up in Morayfield (or Moron as some have called it). It ended up being part of a sales area I looked after so I...

    Electrical transformer

Your mobile phone is more hazardous when looking at EMF. If it blows up it could be exciting but unless you were standing under it no real danger, chances of that happening are low as well but it has been known to happen.

    Mining boom

    Hybrid Camry: Interim report.

It was Sunfish, it's called the train. Diesel engine runs a alternator which turns DC motors on the wheels. No batteries involved but which would be a similar problem with trucks in the most of there running is higher speeds and long distances where the batteries don't make alot of difference.

Hi shuggy, No not in the airline industry unless you count frequent flying? I can say according to Top Gun the movie pilots do like to ride motorcycles.

    Qantas Grounded?

If your talking about the new Boeing 787 a quick look tells me it will carry around 300 pax (max) compared to 525 on a A380. Do some quick calcs on the fuel use per passenger at your suggested usage and you'll find the A380 more efficient (I assume you mean liters per hour as against tonnes)...
