    sub 600K house in Sydney?

My brother in law bought a house in Loftus last year for $550k, niceish suburb not sure how far to city maybe 40 mins in the train. Had to do a fair bit of reno to make it OK. I don't think it is possible unless you allow for that.

YOUR VIEWS? NSW- South Coast- suburbs on Jervis Bay

Just an update on the area. At the end of 13 the 30 minute travel to Nowra will be a thing of the past. There is a BIG W and a Woolworths and Aldi plus 55 speciality shops being built. I think this will change the face of the area and potentially make it a good area of investment.

    Australia's Debt Ceiling

I am looking at my hons in economics degree thinking the same thing. The important thing is not essentially which is more important it is the capacity to pay back the debt that counts. If you want to learn more about each I suggest you read the link to the article I posted last night.

    Australia's Debt Ceiling

So Stefan how does the right side of politics know it better and how do you explain that Australia's productivity has tred water for the best part of a decade. Caught up with minutia like the NBN. Not sure what you are trying to say there. What the right side of politics doesn't understand is...

    Australia's Debt Ceiling

All of this has been debated and talked about when the Rudd government proposed FTTN and it was one of those things that if you are going to spend that much money you should go all the way because it won't save you that much more money and it would need upgrading down the track anyway. Look I...

    Australia's Debt Ceiling

Private development, you have to be kidding Lizzie. Telstra has done squat all over the last decade. Australia will never get internet to the speed that can take us anywhere if you leave it to the commercial sector. And as for 4G being the answer, well on the whirlpool forum there are a trillion...

    Australia's Debt Ceiling

I did not say it would lead a recovery, I merely stated that the government was indeed spending money that would boost productivity, if you were in a small to medium enterprise in a rural town you might understand that point. I have to admit to getting sick and tired of people who are so quick...

    Australia's Debt Ceiling

Umm, I think the NBN stands some chance in improving the economy and I would say money spent on improving our ports might just improve our export trade. Stop listening to Alan Jones and reading the News Is Limited papers and you might see a different world out there.

    Australia's Debt Ceiling

Ah Daz no, as I said the government has not racked up that debt at all. The debt is not 26% of GDP you fool. Not even Labor could spend that much. If you are going to compare Australia's debt to the rest of the world you are making yourself look even sillier. As I said in my last post, the major...

    Australia's Debt Ceiling

Dazz you must have been listening to the Barnaby Joyce school of economics. The guy who because he has an accounting degree thinks that somehow makes him an economist. Dazz you are not comparing apples with apples here. If you are going to talk about debts that relate to the government you talk...

I believe it is the total fee. Because you buy with them are you required to use their PM? They are selling some studio's that are in our price range (well before the last few days on the market/bloodbath). Do banks have the same view of studio's in NRAS that they do out of it, or are they even...

Does anyone have any experience or have had a look at the Brisbane Housing Company properties and if so what are your impressions? 14% total management fees. Is that excessive? Assuming that is a combination of the actual property management fee and the other fees associated with NRAS properties.

Thats OK it only started two days ago. Makes the numbers a little easier but still have to find the lower price points. You are right not being a canetoad is a disadvantage in many ways aside from football. Still trying to find a stamp duty calc that takes into consideration that saving from off...
