How to make sure the demolition contractor does not bury asbestos in my yard

Ooh! I did not realise you were talking about hiring someone to watch them. I will think about it.

How to make sure the demolition contractor does not bury asbestos in my yard

I don't understand how this is relevant, I got the quotes from a similar site: serviceseeking.com.au.

How to make sure the demolition contractor does not bury asbestos in my yard

Nevertheless, this happens sometimes. It is not that I don't trust them, I just don't know them. I have four quotes for the demolition and know very little about any of the companies.

How to make sure the demolition contractor does not bury asbestos in my yard

It is a bit hard, as it will take few days. I would be driving past few times. I thought to catch a stage when they stripped the asbestos from the outer walls and removed it but the house is still there.

How to make sure the demolition contractor does not bury asbestos in my yard

Hi, I am planning to demolish my old house, which has plenty of asbestos. Is there a way to ensure the demolition guys don't bury asbestos in my lot? Thanks.

Rental income of negatively geared property for FTB purpose

Sorry, I did not quite understand, what it means: "added back to your taxable income". Lets say my income is 80k, my loss is 5k. Do I declare the rent income when claiming FTB?

Rental income of negatively geared property for FTB purpose

Hi, Me and my wife have our own PPOR and an investment unit generating around $460 per week. It is negatively geared though, so we don't see any income from it. Does this income count when we apply for FTB? My wife doesn't work attending to our newborn, so I thought about applying for FTB...

Garage has to be set back by a meter rule

Well, most of the granny flats rented out have landlords living next to the tenants. In my case (corner block) the tenants will access their flat via different street and will not have windows overlooking my backyard. So I am better off then most people in this situation. Please feel free...

Garage has to be set back by a meter rule

If this is a problem I can rent it out via an agency and tell the agent not to disclose that I am a landlord, I can pretend I am a renter too. Besides we have rental shortage here in Sydney so the tenant who gives me trouble won't stay there for long.

Garage has to be set back by a meter rule

This is the situation when the majority doesn't care and the minority is ignored. My neighbor across the road has his garage put forward by 1 meter. Most of the garages on the street are either put forward or in line with the building. Would they care about council banning this type of...

Garage has to be set back by a meter rule

Yep, and the stupid rules are there for a stupid reason. I doubt, that thousands of people took to the streets to demand garages to be set back by a meter. It was some government bureaucrat, who decided to push through his or her understanding of beauty. Why do we need those bureaucrats, who...

Garage has to be set back by a meter rule

Already did, and they said, that the best way to get a concession is to take the purpose of the regulation and try to satisfy it some other way, which I think I can.

Garage has to be set back by a meter rule

Thanks for the advice, but I am aware of the tax, besides at some point, when I was single I was renting out a room in my house, so it will attract tax when sold anyway. I am hoping to hold it for a long time, perhaps until I we retire and cash flow is more important to me at the moment then...

Garage has to be set back by a meter rule

It is all about personal circumstances and preferences, isn't it? The granny flat is needed to lower the burden of the construction loan and get a new house sooner. I am on a corner block and the granny flat tenants will have separate entry and will not overlook the backyard, so privacy is...

Garage has to be set back by a meter rule

I didn't get you, sorry. Are you saying that I should just accept the first CDC design the architect gave me even though it takes most of my backyard and does not achieve what I want to achieve from the new house? An architect wants the job done ASAP and just get his/her money. The owner...
