Well I am hoping to use public transport so ideally a suburb that has a train station would be good.
I don't mind the commute. I already travel about 40mins each day from where I live to the Melbourne CBD.
Hi All,
Apologies in advance if this is not the correct forum for this, but I was wondering if any of the members here could tell me what are some of the affordable suburbs near/around the Gold Coast area. I will be relocating from VIC to QLD for work and need to find a good suburb to raise a...
So I spoke to the Gold Coast council and they were able to confirm for me that when the duplex was built that the infrastruture contributions looks to have been paid for already. So taking that out of the equation, are we back to the $10K budget that it will cost to get strata titles for each unit?
Sorry - what is this "infrastructure contributions"?
I just got off the phone with a surveyor company in QLD and they told me to budget up to $10,000 to strata tile the duplex. Their costs were already $,4000.
I seem to be getting all sorts of quotes and would really like to know a ball...
Fast forward to 2014 (almost 2015) and what is the real cost to do this now in QLD? I've been told by a realestate agent in QLD that the prices have been jacked up and it will cost anywhere up up to $30,000 to have each unit moved onto it's own strata title? Can anyone confirm?
So I'm getting conflicting prices now??? We have a duplex with single title wanting to change that to each unit with it's own title - what price are we looking at in QLD??
Thanks.
Andy
Looks like prices are vastly different between the states. I spoke to a realestate agent in QLD and they told me that the prices there has tripled and I can expect to pay up to $30,000 to have the duplex split into two units each with their own title.
The example link above is for NSW and it...
Hi All,
We have a duplex in QLD comprising of two apartments which are under the one non-strata title at the moment. We are looking at separating the apartments so they each have their own strata title, so we can sell one of the apartments and keep the other one.
Just wondering if anyone...
Hi All,
Does $1,000-$1,200 seem reasonable for someone to do our tax return for our unit trust which only has a single investment property in QLD under its name?
Thanks.
At the moment I'm looking for pros and cons to what the guy has proposed. What should we be looking out for? Are there any industry bodies we can goto for further advice, etc?
Apparently he also runs his own bank, construction company, real estate agemt, etc. According to him because everything is owned by him, he can keep the cost down.
Not sure if he is a bank, but uses that term a lot. This is his website.

Hi all...
We have a large block of land purchased some 20 years. Recently the unoccupied land nearby are being subdivided and developed, and what once was empty land we drove past on the way home is now filled with residential houses.
Our block of land can be roughly divided into about 48...
