    convert lounge to bedroom

Sorry for the previous long post. I still want to ask this 1. Do you think council needs to be informed, if I need to fill up a door on a wall and move another door by 1 foot. 2. If no, will it be alright if I sell this house as 3 bed in future (rather than 2 bed) cheers

    convert lounge to bedroom

Thanks all for replying. I'll explain bit more. This 2 bedder house has 3 separate living areas two of which are huge (6mx3m) and the third being the dining room. My intention is to somehow add a 3rd bedroom as it will easily appreciate the house value by 20k and I will get more interest...

    convert lounge to bedroom

Thanks. Windows are there already and ventilation exhausts too. Both rooms will have their own windows. Do we need a draftsman or architect for drawing plans for the DA? Not sure what steps are involved in this.

    convert lounge to bedroom

Hi, I have 2 bed 1 bath house with a large lounge roughly 6mx3.5m. I want to convert half of that lounge into the 3rd bedroom (2.5m x 3.5m) and keep the remaining for the lounge. There's not much involved for it, just moving the door and constructing a wall in the middle of the lounge...

Dandenong North is now half million suburb

I agree that Knox already had this price tag but Dandenong North's ordinary 3/2 houses on average streets reaching this price is certainly exceptional and unheard of. I have been tracking Dandenong North market from few years, this is the first time it is closing to half a million. Looks like...

Dandenong North is now half million suburb

Not sure if many have noticed but there seems to be an unusual pickup in the Dandenong North market e.g. recent sales - standard old 3/2/2 family homes for ~$470k (just ordinary homes without any extra)...

    Popular suburbs in Melbourne

Sandhurst - is the best kept secret. A true residential suburb and quite expensive given its location. However, it is not popular at all. 90% of Melburnians would not have heard of Sandhurst. I think Jake has answered the OP's question very well.

    Advice From Melbournians

Debates are actually good from information point of view, as they lay down the facts for the buyers (unknown to Melbourne) to make an informed decision.

    Advice From Melbournians

Its not a dribble, please face the reality. Employment - The major employment hubs except the CBD, all are in the East. Burwood - IT Zone, Ringwood and Chadstone - Retail hub, Dandenong/Bayswater/Clayton/Cheltenham - mechanical jobs, storage and trucking businesses. Name any big employers...

    Revitalised Dandenong

Dandenong / Springvale prices rising Just an update on the topic. From this latest report, it seems prices in Greater Dandenong suburbs have risen sharply in the past one year. 12-16% price growth in suburbs like Keysborough, Springvale and Noble Park North is huge unless I am missing...

    Advice From Melbournians

I was replying to rizzle who is looking for PPoR not the OP. By the way, here is the latest report in outer South East suburbs. It seems the residential suburbs (Noble Park North, Endeavour Hills and Berwick) are leading the capital growth. Noble Park North is at the top with a whopping...

    Advice From Melbournians

There are some great houses north of Princess Highway in Pakenham which are elevated and have mountain views. Some areas may be scummy. But if you are after views and large houses, then Pakky is the way to go. Pakenham CBD is also good as it has lots of shops and pretty much self sufficient...

    Advice From Melbournians

Springvale not good for PPoR. Its fine for IPs. On the Pakenham/Cranbourne train line, any suburb after Clayton South (Westall station) is not suitable for PPoR except Berwick.

    Advice From Melbournians

I can recommend certain areas in the East for this budget which are good for PPoR and are much more convenient than their West counterparts Here they are in the descending order of their affordability Oakleigh / Oakeligh East (look near the Huntingdale station - Zone 1) Chadstone...

    Advice From Melbournians

The problem with the West is that most of the city is in the East. That means most facilities (good schools, good doctors, good playcenters, good public hospitals) and jobs are in the East. Beaches, hills and tourist spots everything in the East. If you have family and friends, chances are most...
