Thanks for that, very interesting. I assumed these artworks that were rented out were Streeton type works worth $100K++. There's an artist on that website who I really quite like so might look into this a bit more. My spending money on artwork could be justified if I can get a return for it! :D

Yes! The roads are already congested enough without non necessities using them in peak hour. I'm not going to cycle my 20km (used to be 40km) trip to work each morning! I do like to walk however, so maybe on the weekends when I want to go for a walk along the beach, I might do it on the roads...

I said I wasn't going to say anything but I have to respond to that. I have much compassion for the victim in this incident, which is why WE (BOTH cyclists and motor vehicles) need to work out a way to prevent this happening in future. I don't understand what the truck driver did wrong in this...

I've just had a chance to read the story. I am very sorry for what happened to Michael and would never wish this upon any cyclist, however I stand by my comments and anything further I have to say will only offend further so I'm not going to say anything.

Just curious as to what happens if I change insurance companies. I purchased a property a few months ago and everything was rushed so I just went ahead and got my building and landlord insurance through my bank. I've since read the bank ones aren't that great and Terri Sheer is a good company...

I agree. In a perfect world we wouldn't have to be so concerned and protective of our things but it's not a pefect world. People should be honest and fair but when things turn sour some people can turn very bitter and revengeful and then the nice naive people get burned and ripped off. Each...

Agree with you 100% - the mentality of cyclists who think they own the road and can do as they please is VERY stupid!

Now this is hilarious! It's ok for cyclists to slow down cars, but not for pedstrians to slow down cyclists. Oh dear, I guess this is the mentality of cyclists, I should feel sorry for them rather than get angry with them.

I am far from one of the bogans you are describing, but cyclists drive me INSANE! :mad: I drive along Beach Road in Melbourne every day, and cyclists cause me more stress than drivers. They hold up traffic, break laws and what annoys me the most is when you get to a traffic light they cycle up...

That Clarendon Street one looks like a redevelopment site. You can't expect high rent on a dump just because the block is big and can be redeveloped. Talk about want your cake and eat it too. :) The rent on that other one does look a bit low however, but keep in mind the comments others...
