The area is really nice. We bought a brand new (off the plan) 3 bedroom unit in Oakpark in Nov 2007. We paid $360K. Location is just 200 meters from Oakpark station and on high side of the road etc.
Bank has valued the property for 450K now.
MDV,
We bought a three bedroom unit in Melbourne in mid 2007 off the plan. Paid 360K and around 3 thousand in curtains / blinds. Bank has now valued this for 450K. So it looks good.
MDV,
Thanks Spiderman,
My husband also says we should not give up so easily as this area has many plus points. We are still thinking. If it was for investment only we would'nt worry so much but we want to live there after some time. we are still thinking.
Thanks a lot, this would really help. We also found somebody who lives there and is not very happy with the area. So we might have to go somewhere else.
Thanks again,
MDV

Hi everyone,
We want to add a 54sqm (9x6) family / dining room and double garage to our existing house. It is in excellent condition and very good location.
I am seeking advice on how much it can cost. Also it will be very helpful if someone knows about a less expensive builder in Melbourne...
Hi Everyone,
Thanks a lot for your advice.
We are relieved if the antenna stays there. But I its not Foxtel, it is some other antenna where they get overseas TV channels (other languages). We will find out what they are going to do as they are moving out in March.
Thanks,
MDV
Hi All,
I am a regular reader on this forum.
In our new IP, tenants have installed a dish antenna on roof without taking our permission. We came know about this when our agent went for first inspection. I am afraid they may have damaged the roof etc.
Any advice - what shall we do now...
Hi everyone,
I am not planning to do this but just wanted to know if something like this is practically possible.
(for worst case scenario).
Thanks,
MDV
I am still new to this forum and not sure if this is a good question.
If I have some equity in my IP (say around 100K). Can I use this money (as LOC) to pay the minimum monthly installment of same IP or other IPs?
Thanks,
MDV
Thanks Everyone, your response is very helpful.
I will consider the areas mentioned above and see where I can get the best.
Personally I would prefer Ringwood.
Thanks,
MDV
