Tenants took off, Slow PM and other hassles

Thanks all. Not what I wanted but glad the picture is clearer sooner rather than later. Got a written quote from a local business - its gonna cost $2200 to fix the tenants doings. biggest cost within this is $600 - rubbish removal. Few other costs but that will be more normal fixing...

Thanks Selinarra. Appreciate your response. Thought I will do an update..... There was a meeting with the councillors today. Final voting is next week. Only 3 of the 11 councillors turned up. People were visibly upset over the whole deal. 120+ out of 135 affected have appealed...

LALOR Heritage Overlay - Why and How not to?

99% of the houses which will come under the heritage overlay ALREADY have a covenant enforcing single dwelling per block - which means only 1 house anyways. The ones with units will not be affected either way. And the overlay itself is funnily applied. some odd numbers in some streets...

LALOR Heritage Overlay - Why and How not to?

Got a property in Lalor, VIC. The Whittlesea council are trying to push heritage overlays. They have been real pushy/sneaky about the whole deal – I have been real curious as to why? THe houses are only 50 years old – to put it crudely they are ugly boxes (mostly in 300 -350K). Some were...

Where to start with a kitchen reno?

might be a good idea to rip out the existing kitchen. You can get some quotes and designs on flatpack kitchens (IKEA, bunnings) hire a handyman to put the new cupboards on the wall (you can put those together yourselves).
