    home sewerage pipe relining

For PPoR. I've had some problems with blocked sewerage pipes (private line) and have been looking for a permanent solution, like pipe relining – i.e. putting a new inside layer on a pipe without digging up and replacing the old pipe. Some products I've looked at include "NuFlow" and...

    Hourly costs of tradesmen ?

Thanks everyone. That $240 is starting to look cheap ! My relative knows the tradesman, and has seen his work. I don't think the guy is formally qualified, but has experience, and the work quality is good enough from what I can gather.

    Hourly costs of tradesmen ?

Just wondering what a reasonable hourly price range is for good general purpose handymen who can do things like painting, tiling the kitchen etc. There was a guy asking for $240 per day - does that sound reasonable ? Thanks.

    advertising for deceased estates

Thanks for the replies, guys. As you've worked out I'm fairly inexperienced with these matters, and I had the general mpression that these things had to be declared. Maybe because some properties ARE advertised as deceased estate, I assumed all of them had to be. But as Propertunity has pointed...

However, I found out later that the home belonged to an old lady who passed away. What exactly...

    Brick veneer ?

Oh, I see. Thanks guys. I guess around my area (Ashfield, NSW), the houses are fairly old, so I'm used to seeing either double brick or weather-board homes. When inside this house, when you put your hand against the walls, it gives a little. i.e. the walls feel a little soft. I'm guessing...

    Brick veneer ?

Hi, I just saw a house on the weekend that the agent said was brick veneer. I've done some googling and it sounds like this construction method is ok, but I'm wondering if you guys have any opinions on brick veneer. e.g. pros and cons, compared to full brick, etc. Thanks, Moe

Back lane garage access - security concerns ?

Hi, An old style house I'm looking at buying (to live) has its garage at the back of the house. There is a narrow lane at the back you use to get your car into and out of the garage. This is the case for everyone in the street. The house is in Ashfield NSW, about 10 minutes walk south of...
