    2GB was talking about being able to instantly write off renovations to IP for a regular mum and dad investor. Ie spend $20k doing a kitchen or bathroom in a IP. My understanding was this isn't correct?

    Thanks for your comments. This is for a renovation only. So for example, can I use Complying Development/CDC for the 2nd floor addition. Then use for example a council DA for the swimming pool (knowing that this doesn't comply with complying development route)?

    No hidden nasties. No accumulated tax losses. Basically as said above, is it worth annual fees VS ANY benefit in using an "existing" company down the track as opposed to opening a new company?
