    You make sense to me. Only heard this yesterday and have the 3 years to find out the answer! Will of course ask an accountant and I see your point. Will pass on your comment. Maybe there's some loop hole somewhere... but then if it could be done we'd have heard about it wouldn't we?

    I also posted this in a separate post but.... We refinanced our previous PPOR and borrowed for our first IP 11 months ago. We paid LMI. We have sold that PPOR and moved into that IP which is now our PPOR. Can I get a refund on a portion of that? If so how do I do it?

    I have entered two properties. One will cost me $7 week, the other $8 a week. Does this mean it's simply $15 week or does the tax situation change when the two properties are combined?
