I keep an eye on both sides of the river but i've owned and lived in keperra briefly. We had some difficult housing commission neighbours which made it an unpleasant place to live. I'm sure the great majority of housing comm tenants are fine but why take the added risk with an IP. Stafford has...
Everton Park, Stafford Heights and kedron are much more desirable places to live than Keperra for only slightly more money. Zillmere is on a par with keperra but cheaper. If your upper limit is 500 than Newmarket, Gaythorne and Mitchelton are worth a look. I can't comment on the southside...
Boom times for property here in Norway. We are pretty much at the top of the cycle with yields getting thin but plenty of petro dollars sloshing around. It is very fashionable to write off Europe but the north is much more lean and rational than us or the US while the south still believes in...
Double brick is far superior. Single brick is basically a skin on a timber frame with little structural purpose, more decaration and weather resistance. Double brick is load bearing along its entire length. Double is rarely built these days and unheard of in estates.
The CBA have had a 90 day offer starting about a week ago of 3 years at 5.99 so no change there. They have 2 years at 5.79 but I'm not sure if the 90 day scenario applies to their 1,2 or 5 year fixed rates. It seems like the CBA are trying to say 'this is as low as we're going' in an attempt to...
I am in a combank 'wealth package' which is variable and they passed on none of the last rate cut to customers on that product. The proportion of their customers on the 'stabdard variable rate' would be very small I think as it is an extortionately expensive product, 7.81% from memory, but they...
Hi NSM,
We have rented our Red Hill property for the last 18 months with QPA property management. We are overseas and needed a manager who is on top of things and they have been great. Marie Pryce is the pricipal and she knows what she's doing.
There power is actualy more than double the price even with hydro. A glass of beer is about $13 and a 6 pack from the shops about $35. We tip the state big time every time we open our wallet over here. Enough to drive a man to drink.
Great place though, I must agree.
Cheers Matt.
Another thing, 11k additional to install sounds crazy. Basically they just lay the warmer and cable in an S pattern, add a circuit and then apply the tile adhesive and tile as normal. Sounds like they have never done it before.
Hi, I'm living in Norway at the moment (-20 degree winters) and underfloor heating is brilliant. Nothing worse than stepping on cold bathroom tiles first thing in the morning. They are great for for drying umbrellas and shoes in your entrance way too. Thoroughly recommend it and probably no more...
"BANANA PRICE INDEX" are you serious. If there is such a thing it would have been created by some hack finance journo after Costello used banana prices to tell us we didn't have an inflation problem, not the RBA.
Also if bond yields around the world are either rubbish or just plain risky...
