POINT COOK or MILL PARK (Melbourne)

I guess the way I look at it is that the high rate of growth will mean that the area is popular and will run out of land faster than areas of lower demand. You must accept that in the North beyond Doreen there can be no expansion. You have Whittlesea and national and state parks. However in...

POINT COOK or MILL PARK (Melbourne)

I guess if you check out this article it appears that both are close to hotspots. http://experts.realestate.com.au/buying/buying-news-victoria-tops-national-list-of-building-hotspots That is amazing a growth of 18.3% for Whittlesea.

POINT COOK or MILL PARK (Melbourne)

You will really struggle to find anything decent for this money. Maybe a unit. Around $250K is what a 550sqm block costs. It certainly is highly recommended as a place to live and long term property value increases are expected to be 10% per annum on average.

    Doreen and Surrounds - opinions?

I actually put my money where my mouth is and bought a block of land in Doreen after a lot of research. I most certainly do not work for developers or anyone in that industry. I think rushing to that kind of judgement is a bit harsh. Here is an interesting article that should...

    Wallan, Victoria, 3756

I would buy in Wallan if it was positively geared. Wallan has a lot going for it. Its close to Kilmore and has some of Victoria's best schools, Assumption College and Kilmore International. Most people get their property knowledge from a textbook. Often they do not think for themselves so...

POINT COOK or MILL PARK (Melbourne)

I would choose anything in the North over anything in the West. Point Cook is an unattractive suburb with no natural features, an awful beach and the need to travel past fertiliser and chemical factories every day. It also has a pretty bad issue with gang violence. Mill Park is heaps nicer...

    Doreen and Surrounds - opinions?

Ok so it wasn't you taking the bus....:) Obviously if you want to get anywhere in a hurry, you have no car and you live in any outer suburb you are not in the right place. These kinds of bus timings are typical for most bus routes because they never travel in a straight line. I live in...

    Doreen and Surrounds - opinions?

Spiderman, that must have been the world's slowest bus :) Doreen is an easy 10 to 12 minutes via Yan Yean Road from Greensborough and 13 minutes to Plenty Valley shopping centre. In fact is is 24.5 minutes from Northland Plaza Shopping Centre in Preston to Laurimar along Plenty Road (Sunday...

    Doreen and Surrounds - opinions?

Hi, I think Doreen has great potential. I believe any area that has some natural asset such as great views (be they water or mountains) has investment potential because there will always be someone who loves it. The interesting thing about Doreen is the demographics of the place and where the...

South Morang or Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne

Slightly Different Perspective Hi, I have a slightly different perspective. I have followed Doreen, Mernda and South Morang for the last seven years with a view to investing. What I have learned over the years from some painful experiences is that when everyone thinks something is a good...
