What can you build for $100k?

How is the Bathurst Council with relocated homes? Or a demountable home. Quite a few of them second hand. Alternatively a large livable shed. Sunshine

    Thermomix. Anyone have one?

I have had mine for a few years now and still love it. If you do a search you will find there are a few threads on here where the pros and cons are discussed in depth and also comparing it to similar products now on the market. Sunshine

    Rodent bait

You are welcome. Available as 'buy it now' on ebay too. We placed both coloured baits in the station. One colour was more popular with the rodents, I think it was the red/pink one. Good luck. Sunshine

    Rodent bait

Do it yourself for well under $250. Tomcat bait station. Bunnings sold it, but it may have a different name now. We had a serious problem with rats in one of our IP's a few years ago. Cost us a fortune with the pest guy as he couldn't get rid of them and the rotting corpses remained in the...

Buddina, Sunshine Coast - first IP

This is my part of the world and I did a lot of my research before moving here 7 years ago. I can give you a long list of pros and cons but they would just be my point of view. Is there a particular reason that you like that property or have narrowed on that area? Last year the most...

3 and 5 year fixed rate thread

I am hoping that The Greater's new 3.99 1 yr rate may encourage some of the big 4 to follow. I would happily lock a few into that rate.

How to clean white floor grout

I use 'shower power' from the supermarket, spray on and leave for about 5 minutes then use my hand held steamer. You could leave on longer and use a scrubbing brush. Works a treat. Sunshine

Air Con - Is it again a landlord's responsibility?

Also you quoted 8-10 for a whole new system. It would appear that the report is saying that ONLY the ducting is not working properly. If that is the case it is not a whole new system. I would still be getting a second opinion cause it doesn't seem right. Sunshine

Air Con - Is it again a landlord's responsibility?

First up I need to say GET A SECOND OPINION for the air con. It is amazing how easy it is to say needs replacing. Don't fall for it until 2 or even 3 tradespeople have told you the same thing. Has the air con been working okay for the past 4 years? It would appear a bit strange for 4 years...

Upper Hunter - roof tiler or builder

Found a builder who will do the lot. Hopefully the roof can be repaired before it rains again. Sunshine

Upper Hunter - roof tiler or builder

An IP in Scone has suffered roof and water damage from the storm on the weekend Any recommendations for a Builder who does insurance work, or a roof tiler, plasterer, painter and handyman who is able to remove and take away the pink bats. Ideally I would love a builder to take care of...

Air Con - Is it again a landlord's responsibility?

I have a ducted system that the air con man said needed regassing. Interesting as this was repaired not 2 years ago, through insurance. Long story short, 2 different air con men later and it turns out it doesn't need regassing at all the compressor has gone. Claiming on insurance again...

Air Con - Is it again a landlord's responsibility?

Rajnhets do you have fusion cover on your insurance policy? If yes, I suggest that you get a quote to repair and see if it is covered. This could help you out enormously. Sunshine

    Property manager on Sunshine Coast

I self manage now. If I had to go back to a PM I would go to Place at Mooloolaba or Define Property at Mooloolaba. I have a long list of who NOT to use. Sunshine
