    Mildura anyone

Hmmm... OK. I was looking at a block of 4 units in Irymple. They're about $150k each (about 6 years old) and each unit generates $215/week income. It'd be a positively geared, long-term investment.

    Mildura anyone

Hi Touristy, What's Irymple like? I presume most people there work in Mildura? How's the growth in the suburb? I'm potentially looking at some young 2BR units there, which is just down the road from Mildura, on Fifteenth St :) Might drive up this weekend to take a look around...

    Mildura anyone

I'm also looking at the Mildura/Irymple area... looking to buy a few units to add to my portfolio as they are pretty cheap there and the rental yields are great, which would result in positively geared investments. Vacancy rates are very low too, which is excellent. I know capital growth won't...

    Cost to build townhouses?

Hi all, I'm currently in the market for a good knock-down project to get stuck into. The plan is to find an oldish (but rentable) property on a good size block (~1000m2) and rent it out for 3-4 years until I'm ready to demolish and erect 3 x double storey townhouses on it :) Looking at medium...

Thoughts on Matthews Hill pocket in Sunshine VIC

Interested in hearing people's thoughts on Sunshine, Vic... specifically the Matthew's Hill precinct. I'm considering an IP around this area, or potentially in Albion due to proximity to the CBD and the new western gateway Rail Hub. Thanks...

    Is it time for Frankston?

What roads form the "golden triangle" in this area? Come to think of it, 618sqm would still fit two small townhouses or perhaps a duplex townhouse configuration :-) Depends on the depth and width of the block.

    Is it time for Frankston?

That block is right on the entry to the freeway... bad spot indeed. Would be a pain getting out of that driveway!

    Urgent help - Frankston North

Went for the open inspection at Corsican today. Decent house. Big block, but the driveway is only 2.7m wide. I believe you require a >= 3.0m wide driveway if you want to subdivide and build another dwelling at the rear.

    Urgent help - Frankston North

Agree, they're dreaming if they want $310-> $340k! I actually drove past this house today as I was in the area for other business, and it does look nice and neat. A nice rendering and landscaping would give it a great face lift. My only concern was the other neighbouring houses. Doesn't look...

    Urgent help - Frankston North

I called the agent about Corsican and he suggested anywhere between $310k - $340k is what the vendor is after! Bit steep for Frankston North!

    Investing in Townhouses?

Curious, what are the pro's and con's of buying a Townhouse off the plan? I know one benefit is you don't pay any Stamp Duties, so that could potentially save you ~$20k+ on a $400k Townhouse. What do you guys think?

    Buying an IP in Frankston?

Yeah, I'm now shopping specifically for new/near new Townhouses instead of older renovated houses. God only knows what these renovators are trying to cover up when they renovate these old properties. As I'm trying to find IP's to hold onto until retirement, I want to buy-in when the property...
