    Thanks Befuddled...I usually go down for 2-3 days and look at every estate and get quotes from builder when it comes to new estates or see about 20-30 houses when down there. You have to be really organised. Don't use buyers agents...not a fan of them..

    Agree...I think the low end can still give you returns up to 6.5%..I just bought a H&L package for 303k turnkey + 10k for stamps and interest...I will get 380pw on this product. I am not giving the location till I buy a couple more. ;)

    Just read the article again...she does have about $450-500k equity...not bad for a girl who started with $160k of which she inherited 60k. I think she will do well in the future....lots also on SS who have done this....real test is where she going to be in 10-15 years....:D

    Correction you need Permanent Residency ...you do not need citizenship....also (please check) i believe if you are a temporary resident you can purchase a home/unit from the second hand market...but you must sell on leaving OZ permanently. You need to check all this out.....
