    Electrcity account while vacant

What I mean is this: instead of saying I'm in a pickle, I've got bigger things to worry about, etc., why not ask why it's been empty so long, was it my intention, etc. I appreciate the advice, really. It's just the presumptions that annoyed me.

    Electrcity account while vacant

Wow, so many helpful ppl, but so many critical! You dont know the circumstances re it bring empty so long, so saying I'm in a pickle, chasing small fry, etc not necessary. It was empty due to repairs and is for sale. The agents in this town are nothing less than useless as they've all...

    Electrcity account while vacant

GDay, I have a rental property that has been vacant now for 3 months +. The company who were supplying the previous tenant electricity has sent me a bill for Service to property charge of $1 per day since vacant. I called them and they said I have to pay it. It is to keep the power...

    Coal Seam Gas

RockDr this area is less than 1hr from Melbourne, on a major Freeway and the land is used for extensive Dairy/Beef farming. Not outback or FI/FO. I can get my hands on the map where the actual bores where sunk and successfully found CSG. I was told only tonight that if you can get your hands on...

    Coal Seam Gas

Does anyone have any experience in investing in areas that has or is planned to have CSG in the area. I've been given some great heads up on an area in Victoria to invest in, but not sure what to purchase. Land, commercial, units, etc. ??? The Geo Tech in charge of the project gave me a heads up.

How to set up "ownership" of IP for tax

Thanks guys, I think we'll just leave it. We should have set it up differently from the start. But even then it may have been tough, as it was our PPOR for 12mths first. We are trying to sell it as I realise we can set up an IP much more tax effectively even after agents fees and stamp on a...

How to set up "ownership" of IP for tax

Thanks, The reason is simply to reduce tax, as I pay the mortgage on this as I am the 99% earner of income in the relationship, so the tax office really couldnt argue could they? I suppose we should have set it up differently from the start hey?

How to set up "ownership" of IP for tax

Ok...I'm new at this so I'm sorry if it does not come accross in terms normally used. Last year we turned a PPOR into a IP and have it in both names with the bank, my wifes name and mine. The question I'm asking is, can we now say that I own 90% of it and my wife 10% of it for income tax...

    The six year rule

I believe the reason can be anything remotely reasonable. After all, whose goping to decide on it? We moved because the house was too small. We thought we could live in it but it was small, cold and bloody windy. It is now our IP. Accountant thinks this is perfectly reasonable.
