    End of an Era

Issues with Registering on propertychat Hi, When I try to register, it tells me my registration resembles spam like behaviour (maybe because I have an overseas IP address), so I go to your contact page to submit my query, and then I get an error message submitting the contact page...

ringwood investment- knockdown and rebuild- good idea?

I've not got any development experience, but even if you bought the place you were looking for, did nothing to it, and hold it for 7 years, you're likely to make the $200K anyway?? I know capital growth isn't linear, but after holding a $850K property for 7 years assuming 5% capital growth...

    Australian Dollar

Who thinks the AUD is oversold at 0.7822 USD? Doesn't look like there's a lot of technical support at 0.75....

Buying two bedder in Hornsby Area

650k plus for an apartment in Asquith?? Lived on Hornsby for 20 years, went to school at Asquith Boys in the mid 90s.. I think I just fell off my chair... There's surely got to be better value for a 2 bedroom elsewhere around Hornsby? Glut of stock though.

Can you flip an Apartment so soon?

If you want to look up a professional flipper who flips out if he hasn't flipped in 12-18 days, search Flipping Vegas. Completed unrelated to you and the Oz market of course, but good for a laugh some of the stuff this guy comes up with, if, during your journey you feel like time has stood still.

1 BR shoebox inner city or family home in regional VIC

I think the fact that you are already calling them "shoebox" investments indicates the value you are placing on this as an investment choice.

    How to buy undervalue property

I just read the entire 8 pages of that link... Crazy stuff. Trolling, defamation, threatening to sue, unauthorised photos.. Whatever your thoughts on Nathan Birch, that forum (or this thread in particular) is pure debauchery!

    Is property market going downhill?

I don't understand why the question is being asked the way it has; and given the amount of views and replies it has received the remainder of the forum probably shares that insight on such a generalization of insight.

Ringwood, VIC - CG Gain Prospects

Yes, sorry, should have been more specific; anything around Carberry Place and Marden Place you will see sold by Places Victoria or LJ Hooker. A lot of stock. They are selling though apparently.

    Mortgage Broker recommendation

So you wouldn't recommend using a Mortgage Broker local to the area that you are trying to buy in? Like using a Ballarat broker for a Ballarat purchase, or a broker from Outer Melbourne East for Inner West Melbourne?

    Cairns is heating up fast

Hi Jen, To answer your questions: yes, yes and no. You've created an entire thread based on this assertion, so the onus is on you, not me. Not sure whether these forums are any better than the Frankston forums. But by all means continue to provide us all with hard data and fact backing...

    Cairns is heating up fast

To say in the subject matter Cairns is "heating up fast" is a complete mistruth. The conversations trying to spruik a region that is one level above life support are "heating up fast". And yes, I've had some time and involvement in greater Cairns, a brother in law and friends who are also...

Buying a Share in a Private Business - Help

At this level, 6-12 months, but the businesses entry point was in 2011, with industry experience (as non-directors) since 2000, so they know the SWOT pretty well by now. No regulatory risk, plenty of competitive risk in telco overall however, the climate can change pretty fast, but at the top...

Buying a Share in a Private Business - Help

They provide high end telecommunications solutions to corporate/enterprise level organisations - margins are high, overheads relatively low. They are thinking of moving into the NBN arena because acquisition possibilites are huge if targeted properly, so I think they're in the right direction...
