    West Pennant Hills

The travel times into the city by bus from the areas that the Northwest rail link will service may be shorter than the corresponding train travel times, and I would suggest also a fair bit cheaper. With this in mind it's odd that there would be a price increase for areas immediately around the...

Western Sydney/Parramatta region market is stupidly crazy

To be fair the likes of Glenorie are very far out, and are isolated in terms of transport links to the city. This removes the appeal for a great many.

Western Sydney/Parramatta region market is stupidly crazy

Given the area (and the street name) it's highly likely it's a family of Maltese descent with family already in the street/immediate area.

Are Section 94 Contributions Tax Deductible?

Apologies if this is a silly question, but would section 94 contributions for a building entirely for the purpose of investment property (ie. to rent out) be tax deductible? For those who aren't familiar with them section 94 contributions allow local councils to charge a levy to anyone...

    granny flat drainage question

Water would generally be off the existing water connection, likewise with sewer. Power would need to go back to the switchboard of the main property and then could have a separate meter depending on the desired configuration.

    Granny flats

Brick veneer would have a smaller internal floor plan due to the cavity than a clad or blueboarded construction type with no real benefits to offset that unless you like the looks of the bricks of course. If you're tying it in with an existing building this is important.

    What's Happening in Sydneys West

Ikea also scheduled to be built soon at Marsden Park, will be the largest in the country. One would hope that a condition of its development is an improvement in the roads in the surrounding areas most notably an upgrade of Richmond Road? Wishful thinking perhaps. I've also heard that before too...

DRAfT BLAckTOwN LOcAL ENVIRONMENTAL PLAN 2013

The doesn't affect granny flats at all. With their S94 contributions granny flats are a nice little money spinner for the council.

Is there a toilet in the main bathroom? Unfortunate that the kitchen or living space doesn't open directly out to the undercover area.

And a higher quality building that fits with the existing house will increase the value of the total property far more.

    Wooden Granny Flat

Looks like a lot of work to get it up to standard. The ceiling height looks very low, there appears to be no internal walls (the electrical cables are all run in visible conduit). Is the timber termite treated? I can't see how this would comply and that's before considering BASIX. From the...

    Granny flat potential?

Coming along nicely. Hoping you took the opportunity to add insulation to the walls whilst there was no plaster. What are you planning on doing to the outside?
