    10% of the asset value to remain as cash in the SMSF. So if you purchase something for $400k you need $40k left in the fund after costs. You will also need minimum 35% deposit + costs (stamps, trust setup, legals)

    I have a phone line with nothing plugged in, came bundled with my internet. I have 100 megabit cable from Telstra so run a VOIP service off that for calls, both direct to internet and to office pabx.

    I am not a tax expert so I cannot speak to tax law. But for a 30cm repair its a small job that a handyman/multi trade could likely do. I would get another company to do the repair rather than wait till July. Would make sense and doesnt mean over-complicating it

    Damage happened during the time it was income generating so should be deductible even if repaired after it ceases to be income producing. If its a repair to 30cm then its likely an immediate writeoff.
