    I would ask for an email version of hte conract once offer accepted get in touch with your solicitor, they will email the Contract to you. Print out the contract post it back signed and have a phone conference to discuss the contents of the Contract :)

    There has to be a reason why the bank are not ready to settle, such as did they get their documents on time back, did they have all teh things they needed like insurance etc and did you give them 14-28 days to settle. Talk to your branch manager but highly unlikely you achieve anything.

    settlement process

    She has signed the documents in her maiden name as needed for the conveyancing process. I would sign the discharge papers for the loan in both her married name and maiden name to be sure.
