I have a mate that just moved to Muswellbrook a couple of months back for work and he had a hell of a time trying to find a house he could aford to rent. Stone or laminex benchtops?

I would go the laminex with the rounded edge (bit more expensive) but much more durable than the square edge. Handy for a rental.

Agree with you on this. My fiance and I are planning our wedding there for next year. Definately worth a bit extra $$$.

    Chicken coops

Have the exact same one. Works a treat for 4 chickens. Seems to be alot better quality than the majority of online timber ones that you see around.

Taming the Debt Monster - Attitudes to debt for young players

Blacky, Had a similar problem to you. I found that it wasn't until I wrote all my spendings down for a month or so and I saw the ***** I was spending it on that it snapped me out of it. Pretty simple but it really worked for me.

Thanks for all the advice guys it is greatly appreciated. I didn't end up getting the house I had my eye on. Sold the same day I put my offer in to someone who thought it was worth more though. But not to worry two days later found an absolute gem around the corner and snapped it up. All...

IP Renovation - what to prioritise?

The 40 to 50K for re-stumping were by builders out in Moree. Everything seems to cost more out that way. I think the lowest we got quoted was 38K for the restumping. Turns out it only needed to be relevelled as it was not too low to the ground and I did it myself with a builder mate. I think...

IP Renovation - what to prioritise?

Agree with Wylie. Use to live out in Moree NSW and renovated a house. Alot of the house out there have issues with the soil causing the house to sink and become uneven. Depending on location re-stumping can get very expensive 40 to 50K. Event the price of re levelling can run in to a few...

Hi, I currently live in a really remote location (2 hours to Coles) and was wondering if anyone could recommend any good Broker's that specialise in IP's (Loan structuring/finance etc.) and that are able to do these services over long distances. I am becoming a bit dishartened about the...

Ways of keeping track of your investments

Hi. I was wondering how people out there keep track of their IP's (finances etc.) My partner and I have 3 IP's and are looking to have a more organised approach to the way we keep track of them and future purchases. Have been looking at an Excel Spreadsheet but unsure weather this is the best...

A few cracks on the apartment brick wall

Have had the same issue with one of my IP's which is a strata townhouse. Another house in the complex had similar issues to what you are explaining. The repair went through strata for the three professional quotes etc. and then to be voted on by the complex. Not sure of the exact time frame from...

    Buying Properties with Price Ranges.

Thanks made an offer this arvo of 365K and it was rejected. Agent says they want closer to the 400K which for the house is about on the money. But I am thinking I can get it for a fair chunk under. Will see how things go in the morning. Fingers crossed...
