Caringbah North public school also has an OC class and there is also a selective high school in Caringbah North. My son went to the OC at Caringbah North public school and is now at the selective high school at Caringbah North. Caringbah North and the surrounding areas are very nice areas.

Sydney Market at top - calling a severe correction in 2018-2019

HiEquity, I do agree with you BUT just as sure as people will make money out of RE people also lose money out of RE. It the informed that succeed and the uninformed that are also greedy that usually lose out. As the stock market legend Warren Buffett has said ?Wealth is the transfer of money...

    Clueless unsupportive mother

My kids are not old enough for property investment yet, but I have 3 young ones. I would like to think I would be supportive of them and not to deride them for trying to get ahead in life.

You are joking aren't you. If you are serious then I do not know what you are doing on this forum. The people here are all trying trying to get ahead using property investment as the means. The entitlement mentality is not good for an individual or the country as a whole.

Got to love out of area agents! Mount Druitt steal in this market

It's hard to believe that the seller would not have had an idea before hand what the unit would have been worth. It might have been sold to a family member or they were completely ignorant of the market.

    market near the top

I was just hopping into my car out side of my house(in Sydney) and two women one elderly they were both talking about property. They did not look like the property type. It's the press that plays a big part in the people coming into the boom at the latter stages imo.

How much puff does Sydney have left?

Hi Sash, I agree that you are spot on for point 5. I bought into the Brisbane RE market early this year. I am deciding whether to do the same again or invest what I can into the share market. I think the share market is due for an upswing considering it is still way down from it's peak of...

    Sydney Silliness Warnings 2015

I think there is a lot of FOMO out there and that is for both investors and owner occupiers. A lot of people paying these sought of prices are also upgraders that might have sold their property in a less "desirable" area and upgraded to a more "desirable" area. The low interest rates allows...

    Sydney Silliness Warnings 2015

Sydney Market at top - calling a severe correction in 2018-2019

I read some of the articles from macrobusiness because sometimes they have some interesting finance articles but most of the time they are doom and gloom merchants. There are some writers on macrobusiness that are wanting a bust/recession real badly so they can by into real estate. If and...

    Does Brisbane still stack up?

If an area/suburb(Brisbane I presume you are talking about) has picked up in recent times there is no way to tell if it still has some some upside left to go unless of course it has already boomed big time which I don't think anywhere in Brisbane has. I guess it depends on your strategy long...

    Does Brisbane still stack up?

This would be great it looks very promising. The trick would be to be able to identify which areas would benefit the most from this in Brisbane and the regional areas mentioned.

Looking to buy a blue chip IP in Brisbane

Does anyone else agree with the statement that "Brisbane is moving". I tend to think that only a few areas are. But I'm not on the ground there. I have an ip in Paddington in Brisbane so I have an interest.
