WOuld Discount Realestate Agents work in QLD?

No offence OP but your posts are quite stupid. There are plenty of discount agents. Many normal agents discount. Real Estate is not a walk in the park. The mandated paperwork makes it painfully obvious. If you cannot negotiate a commission- its not the REIQ or OFT's fault.

Lack of information on property web sites

OP. You are incorrect. Real estate websites are not to connect buyers with sellers. They are websites that REA's pay thousands of dollars a month to generate enquiry on their properties. They will put as much information as they feel necessary for you to enquire. These sites are advertising...

    Dodgy REA

if your offer will complete the deal- the agent will move heaven and earth to get it to the vendor. If your offer is rubbish and not going to go anywhere, it wont go anywhere. Im pretty sure yours is not the best offer on the table.

    Negotiation on Agent Sales fees

definately try to negotiate down. if they fold quickly and easily, they will do the same when they are sitting down with the eventual buyer.

    Am I being played?

I dont really understand how you feel you are being played? agents get paid only when they sell a property. its not rocket science that if you want to buy a property, they are going to do all they can to sell it to you.

    Am I being played?

i think the clues you gave might be the answer to your question. *agent desperately wants you to put in an offer. *other agents in the office competing. Agent wants to sell the property before anyone else does. You can bet they dont discuss potential buyers if it means they might not get...

emotional factor vs what I believe property is worth

every buyer thinks a house is overpriced. I guarantee you that the owner thinks your offer is underpriced. If you like the house, can afford it and can afford to stay there for awhile, you should think what that is worth to you. If you are borrowing money, the bank will quickly throw cold...

    Owner not signing the contract

vendor isnt keen on your offer. They would move heaven and earth to sign if they were. agent will be trying to get the owner to sign- a bird in the hand...etc

    To sell with/without tenant

1000 votes for empty. So much easier to sell- usually for much better prices, no hassle. if worried about losing investors: 1. provide a copy of the last lease to agent to show what it did rent for 2. tell buyers its only empty by owners choice to allow homeowners to inspect 3. if...
