    The 10k is only for buying new houses. For existing houses the FHOG no longer exists in Vic. So given you were going for an existing house to subdivide and build out the back you wouldn't get this unfortunately.

    If you buy for 750+ you will be above the threshold for any first home owner discounts, benefits, etc so you will be paying full stamp duty.

    Generally flat land, it's a two story townhouse with many similar around, nothing too big. Also I realised it wasn't clear in the first statement, channel 10 hasn't worked the whole time, just tried a few things to fix it ourselves before checking whose responsibility it is.

    yeah I've been to a few auctions in the inner west with the intention of buying, if you arent willing to go at least 10% over the listed max range, dont bother. I bid on a townhouse in Seddon, it went for 16% higher than an identical neighbor this time last year.

    Inner west crazy in the last year, I lost out at auction on the weekend on a townhouse in Seddon. This time last year identical townhouse in the 4 unit complex sold for 485k, on the weekend, 564k.
