Thanks Skater I like the idea of a block of units. Any ideas where I could purchase for that price with good prospects, ie CG, yeild, vacancy rates. I prefer major cities to regional areas.

I would like your opinions on where I should spend $650k on an IP. I prefer houses not body corp situations but I have had a lot of advice that units are best. My preference is for CG in long term and would like 5% yeild so holding costs are not too difficult. Any suggestions appreciated...

Hi folks, I am looking at a property for my first IP reno :eek:. It is in a good spot on a corner and could be a knockdown and a few units one day, but right now I would clean it up and rent. It is in a mess and would need complete paint inside and out, floor boards polished and garden cleaned...

options I'm looking at Melb for an IP but it looks like yeild is pretty low compared to other areas, eg Bris. Apartment close in SE suburbs or development opportunity a little further out are my preferred options for Melb. Any thoughts on these as far as yeild and CG goes.:rolleyes:
